STAINLESS STEEL HOSES

STAINLESS STEEL HOSES

UGRA Technical & Engineering Company stainless steel hoses, Gassoinox, are highly flexible and extremely resistant tubes, against pressure, against internal chemical corrosion and against external abrasion. This is possible thanks to the combination of two flexible and stainless steel construction elements: an inner corrugated tube and one or two outer braids.

The manufacture and production of pipes is governed by the standards BS5750-II / ISO9002 / 316S11 / EN10088 / 1.4541-1.4404 All Gassoinox manufactured in our facilities are tested according to DIN3.1.B / EN 10204, issuing a quality certificate and Tests of each execution.

The assembly between couplings and hoses made under the AXME-IX standard, following its welding and homologation procedure of welders and under specifications C.E. The method used is made by TIG system with INOX AISI 316 and Argon chamber protection according to BS4870 standards, ensuring the total quality of the welds.

AISI 316 (1.4404) stainless steel, parallel-wave flexible hoses, with a high degree of flexibility and high working performance, designed for demanding work at high pressures, maximum flexibilities and absorption of vibrations. Wire braid in stainless steel of 1.5 mm in AISI 304 (1.4404). Standards manufacture tube ISO 10.380 / 1 -BS6501 / 1991.B

Assembly with Internal Liner (Interlock Liner): When the velocity of the fluid, which is transferred through the stainless steel corrugated hose, is more than 25 meters/second (for liquid) and 50 meters/second (for gases), it may create a turbulent flow that causes abrasion and extra pressure drop, damaging the hose. Thus, to prevent this, a flexible interlock liner is used. Read more about Interlock hose here.

Exhaust Hose Assembly: Exhaust hoses are strip wound metal hoses with polygonal or round cross-sections engaged or interlocked profile. These are square profile, interlock and double interlocked with or without seal (asbestos thread or copper wire) depending upon the application which will transfer through it. End fittings are available as per the customer’s requirement and the respective application.

AJacketed Hose Assembly: Jacketing is often used instead of electric tracing when conveyants must be maintained at a specified temperature. Jacketed hose assemblies are manufactured from stainless steel SS-304, SS-316L and SS-321. The size range starts from 1/4” NB core flexible hose to 6” NB. Flexible jacketed hoses start from 1” NB to 10”.

Line Assembly: An internal flexible metal liner is used when high conveyant velocities are required. This prevents damage and reduces abrasion.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Continuous temperature range:

  • -200º to + 800º
  • Working pressures:
  • Up to 300 bar.

A hose assembly comprises of the hose and the end fittings, and are determined by the application in which the hose assembly is going to be placed. Compared to rubber and other materials which are used for hose pipes, stainless steel hose assemblies are an excellent choice for a variety of industrial usage and are suitable for the most demanding technical specification.

Assemblies with Standard End Fitting: These fittings are available in carbon steel, stainless steel SS-304, SS-316 etc. Male and female end fittings are also available in rolled bronze, gunmetal, and also as per customer requirements. Flange connections with fixed and floating flanges are available to meet the DIN, ANSI, ASA, IS standards. Go here to know more about flanged stainless steel fittings

Assembly with External Guard: Use of external flexible armour/guard protects the stainless steel flexible corrugates hose from abuse due to rough handling, sharp bending, abrasion, etc. Sometimes asbestos, ceramic covering or any other insulation material is used in external guard and armouring. These external guards are made by SS-304, SS-316L, galvanized steel.
